When I uncover a gorgeous vintage brooch that can become a dress, a great antique screw driver for a body and an old typewriter key to accessorize one of my works, I've surely hit the jackpot !! I frequent estate sales and flea markets on the hunt for treasures from all those junk drawers long ignored !! Each assemblage I create comes to life with wonderful trinkets I've found making each piece one of a kind. I get a kick out of alot of the items that are no longer used, like old bottle openers, that remind us of how much has changed thru the years. Ironically, my studio in my childhood home is in my Grandma's old kitchen from the '50s ! The photo faces I use are from the 1920s adding a warm soul to each art work--discovered in my home, they were great old vintage postcards and such of my Grandmas' friends ! The name Arty's Angels comes from my Dad, Arty, who I lost when I was 13 years old...I know there is a big chunk of his personality in me !

My ultimate goal through my gift of creativity is philanthropy ! No, seriously !! I give much of my sales to charities for animals and humans alike.
